In a heartwarming gesture of community service, Col. Md. Elias Hossain, psc, PEng (Retd.) reached out to the people of his ancestral village on January 2, 2026, to provide much-needed relief from the winter chill.

As the cold wave swept through the region, Colonel Elias visited his village to personally distribute blankets among the underprivileged and elderly residents. Known for his disciplined career and professional excellence, this initiative highlights his enduring commitment to social responsibility and his deep-rooted connection to his community.

A Heart for the Community

For the villagers, the event was more than just receiving a gift; it was a moment of solidarity. Colonel Elias spent time speaking with the locals, listening to their concerns, and sharing words of encouragement.

True service doesn't end with retirement; it evolves into a responsibility toward the people who raised us," a participant noted during the distribution.

Looking Ahead

This initiative serves as a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of many. We hope this inspires others to look toward their own roots and support those in need during these harsh winter months.
